Preliminary exercise: Continuity task involving filming and editing a character opening a door,
crossing a room and sitting down in a chair opposite another character, with whom she/he then
exchanges a couple of lines of dialogue. This task should demonstrate match on action,
shot/reverse shot and the 180-degree rule.
They are giving you this easy task because :
a) they want to see that you understand the basics of filming and editing
b) they want you to see that this isn't really anything like as complicated as your finished film opening and you'll need to explain that in your evaluation

Examples : you can make this as difficult or simple as you like. You won't need to do much planning but should attempt a range of shot types and may attempt some camera movement,
Imovie instructions We use imovie to import our footage.
instructions :
1. Connect camera / either with grey/white firewire or take out memory card and place in card reader and then in USB port at rear of IMac.
2. Click on the imovie icon in the dock (If you can't see it then click on applications in the finder or on the go tab)
3. Click on import from camera and wait for thumbnails to load (If nothing happens for a few minutes logout and repeat procedure)
4. Move slider to manual
5. Unclick all images
6. Click the ones you wish to import
